So, you’ve created a wonderful app that you believe people will love. Unfortunately for you, so did thousands of others. That’s where app previews come in handy. An app-preview is the explainer video or commercial that explains what the app does and how useful it is. It aims to arouse viewers’ curiosity into downloading the app. Getting it right, however, is no picnic. In this article, we’ll go through 4 tips that would lead to more downloads:

Keep it short

The last thing you’d want to be doing is creating a 5 minute app-preview that would scare people and bore your viewers. Keep it short and straight to the point. The aim is to sell your app in around 90 seconds or less.

Highlight your app’s USP

USP or Unique Selling Proposition is your competitive advantage. You need to be able to answer the question of “What makes your app so special/downloadable?” If you can’t find the USP, you’re app’s future looks black.

End with a call to action

Viewers enjoyed the preview and liked what your app has to offer. However, taking action needs more than that. A push is mandatory to turn a “Let me think about it” user into a “Let’s do this” user. Always end the app preview with a “Download now” or a similar imperative verb that would lead to the conversion you’re looking for.

Keep it professional

The last thing you’ll want to be doing is having an ameuterish preview that would give this very same impression about the app itself. Keep it neat and well worked on to push people into downloading.
