KAFA: the explainer video

Since 2005, KAFA has been aiming to eliminate all forms of exploitation and violence against women, and to say that we were delighted to be a small part of their mission would be an understatement. We proudly present to you the process of Kafa’s explainer video.

The Brief

Kafa wanted a video that shares the results of their latest study on domestic workers violence in Lebanon and shed the light on the wrong information employers have. The video’s objective was to help audiences see progress in the issue, and highlight the gaps that still need adjustments regarding the workers’ rights.

The Process

We decided to go with the whiteboard animation as it is is entertaining, eye-catching, more distinctive and professional looking. It also provides a good way to explain the information in a simple, engaging way. The Lebanese female voice also played an important part in giving credibility to the video with respect to the topic.

The Outcome

The video’s fast movement received an equally fast engagement: earning over 130,000 views and 200 comments. The feedback ranged from people opening discussions to expressing how little they knew about the topic before the explainer video.
