Hakkik Damanik: the explainer video

We were approached by Hakkik Damanik, a Lebanese community that seeks to achieve gender equality in the Lebanese National social security law, to work on a series of explainer videos for their campaign. The topic was very critical, so here’s how we proceeded.

The Brief

Considering it was a topic of high sensitivity, we wanted to create a counter effect. The direction of the 4 videos was not emotional but rather factual, and straight to the point. The purpose of the campaign was to guide women through their right and duties towards social security. Moreover, the videos needed to highlight how laws regarding the social security existed to protect women and their families, but a lot of them required amendments.

The Process

The video style we went for was the infographic, considering the amount of information and statistics we needed to include the content. The illustrations were very simple and clear as to not distract the audiences from the main message. We also resorted to a Lebanese female voice over for reliability and credibility.

The Outcome

The 4 videos were different in their own way yet under the same umbrella. The campaign was a success, and the videos received over 3,000 views on Facebook. Why don’t you check one the videos, and get back to us with your feedback or any great idea you want to turn into an amazing explainer video.
