The World Bank – MIEP : explainer video

The MIEP (Mobile Internet Ecosystem Project) by the World Bank is great news for anyone interested in the world of Mobile Web in Lebanon. We were approached by the World Bank to create a short explainer video about this project.

The Brief

Our mission was to explain the MIEP to all potential stakeholders (from international organizations, to young developers).

The Process

We started by reading through pages and pages of text to understand the project. All this information had to be transformed into a short video that would be fun to watch while being informative.

Visual metaphors were used to explain the process: the theme of the beehive is highly present in the video, as well as the theme of planting seeds and growth.

The Outcome

The result was a 110-second video that was rich in visuals, ideas and information, yet entertaining to watch. The video has saved the team at MIEP hours of explaining. Whenever they need to explain the MIEP concept, all they need to do is show the video. It will also allow people who would be deterred from long lines of text to know everything there is to know about the project.
