What working with different types of clients taught us
As much as we absolutely love our job, there comes a point when we like to look back on some of the weirdest, funniest and most stressful clients we’ve encountered. We love our clients! and repeat we love our clients.
The “I don’t know what I want” client
These clients have a constant change of heart, their indecisiveness can be cute… sometimes… They can agree on something during a video chat, but change their minds an hour later in an e-mail.
The “I need this done by yesterday” client
This client is always in a rush, expecting immediate results 5 minutes post the brief, also might have a very minor lack of awareness regarding the time-space correlation.
What we learned: to be honest, transparent and realistic when it comes the deadlines by simply explaining our workflow and how much time each step requires.
The “You do it” client
One of our favourites, also known as the delegator. They hired us because they know what we do, how well we do it and expect us to complete the project with skills and professionalism.
What we learned: to respect their time, and communicate what’s necessary.
The “You can’t reach me now or ever” client
They disappear on us for weeks maybe months! Once back, they hit us with a million requests at the same time. But then again they add the right amount of adrenaline to our work.
What we learned: to keep the same time frame, and not make exceptions just because of multiple comments that came out of the blue.
The list can go on and on, but regardless of that, it’s always fun to deal with different types of clients! Ours are just the best and we love working together to create best explainer videos ever. Are you next on our list?
We leave you with this riddle:
