What is an NGO and how to market it?
What makes us human is the unique ability to be humane. Whether by giving mobility to a disabled person, donating blood for the needy, educating the mentally challenged or millions of other causes, we can help people in need whenever and however we want. In this article, we’ll talk about the importance of NGOs and how to get people more aware of the causes they support.
What is an NGO
A Non Governmental Organization or NGO is, as the name implies, an organization that is separated from the government. It is usually formed through a voluntary group of individuals or organizations. An NGO’s main objective is to support a cause by educating the public and creating awareness about the issue at hand. Most NGOs are non profit organizations in which they aim to influence people to take action and to support the cause.
Tweeps, anyone know of an NGO looking for help for Syrian refugees in Lebanon?

How to market an NGO
Now that we know what is an NGO, let’s shift to the marketing side of it. Promoting an NGO is tricky. Unlike businesses, your main objective isn’t to make a profit but to educate people of a certain issue, get them knowledgeable of your organization and how they can contribute. The best way to inform people of something in a fun and entertaining way is through, your one and only, explainer video.
Through an explainer video, you’ll inform viewers of a certain problem, how your NGO can solve it and what can people do to help.
Here’s the video we created for Donner Sang Compter (DSC) to introduce their mobile blood bank.
What is an NGO? It’s the right place for us to help one another. What is an explainer video? The right tool to use to get us aware of the cause supported and what we can do to help. Care to create an explainer video for your NGO? Contact us today for a free consultation.
