We have great news, our latest explainer video, “Lebanese new phone regulations” is all over national television! Here’s how it happened…

A couple of weeks ago, all Lebanese mobile phone owners received several SMSes to their phones explaining the new regulations taking place to limit Illegally Imported Devices. Unfortunately, those SMSes were too complex and most people did not get what exactly was happening, and what they had to do.

That’s when it hit us! What we do at wezank is explain complex ideas in easy and accessible animated videos. Why not apply our technique to explain those new regulations?

We quickly whipped up this video (at the end of the post), posted it on YouTube and shared it across Facebook and Twitter, where it caught the attention of our Telecom Minister, Nicolas Sehnaoui. He kindly got in touch with us, stating the Ministry’s interest in publishing the video on local TV channels and using it as a campaign for the Illegaly Imported Devices (IDD) regulations.

We met with the lovely ladies at the Ministry, a couple factual changes were requested, and then after preparing seven beta tape copies, voilà! Our movie is now airing on all Lebanese TV stations. Let us know if you catch it!
