Video Sharing App: Riff
Facebook‘s love relationship with videos just got a whole lot bigger. After adding huge video updates on its platform, the Social Media giant has just introduced a new video sharing app called Riff.
Riff: Video Sharing
Similar to Vine and Snapchat, the app allows users to create a short video up to 20 seconds to be filtered under a specific topic in the form of a hashtag (for example #videosharing) then friends will be able to add clips to that video. Consequently, once friends add clips to a video, their friends will also be shown the video and have the opportunity to add their clips to it as will. The process continues and the exposure will reach huge horizons. Josh Miller, product manager for Facebook, said in his blog post. “Once a friend adds a clip to your video, your friend’s friends will also be shown the video in Riff and will be able to add to it. The potential pool of creative collaborators can grow exponentially from there, so a short video can become an inventive project between circles of friends that you can share to Facebook, or anywhere on the internet, at any time.”
Facebook haven’t uploaded an explainer video about the app, but here’s a nice one we found by GadgetHacks:
