Teach Me Now: the explainer video
Thea Myrhvold, the founder of Teach Me Now, has such a contagious positive vibe, and we were very excited to work on the explainer video for her startup: teachmenow.com
The Brief
Our mission was to explain what teachmenow is about to its target audience, which constituted the main challenge. The audience was both teenagers looking for tutoring, as well as their parents. So we settled for a colorful, friendly look that would attract both.
The Process
We had to create an illustrated world around the main characters in the logo. Each type of user had its own visual representation: Tutor, Student, and Parent. The approach we followed is to try and represent a real modern teenager’s world, through colorful visuals. This also applied to the screens showing the website in action. Instead of using screenshots of the website as they are, we redrew them to fit this visual illustrated world we had created.
The Outcome
The result was a video that speaks to both parents of teenagers and teenagers themselves, and that represents the website and identity of Teach Me Now.
