MoET: the infographic video

The Lebanese Ministry of Economy and Trade (MoET) were working on a very exciting project: an SME Strategy for 2020 for Lebanon. Being part of the huge SME sector ourselves, we saw a great opportunity to make this 160-page strategy accessible to the average person: why not create a short infographic video to summarize it for everyone.

The Brief

Summarize the book “Lebanon SME Strategy: A Roadmap to 2020” to a 2-minute infographic video to be shown at the launching event, and to also be uploaded online for everyone to know more about the project.

The Process

The main challenge here was time. We had to accomplish this video in basically 1 week (we usually need about 4 to 6 weeks). This meant we needed to have all the team working in full power on this project to have the video ready in time for the conference.

The script was written in one day, followed by a quick sketch for the storyboard. The illustrations took a whole day, followed by a whole day of animation divided for three people to work on in parallel. The sound design was finally added in about half a day, and the video was ready in record time. The great part is that we did compromise on quality, and the visuals were developed to have their own identity.

The Outcome

The outcome was a simple and easy-to-understand video that people were able to watch and enjoy during the conference, and also online.
