Holiday Throwback: our Christmas video

This particular throwback goes straight into our hearts. It started with a small idea and culminated in a great bonding experience between the wezank team. It was a spirited Christmas song you all know and love, and the faces were also familiar, but their combination was like nothing you’ve ever seen before. We unleashed our inner divas, and a Christmas miracle was born!

The Brief

The brief can be summarized in one sentence: “Let’s have some viral fun”. It might seem crazy at first, but we considered it as a challenge not to be taken lightly. We stepped out of our comfort zone and decided to create a new type of video.

The Process

The first step was picking the song. You simply can’t go wrong with the choice, so we went with the good old  Jingle Bells. The second step was choosing the direction of the video. We didn’t go with neither the infographic, nor the 2d animation, or any traditional type of videos we’re used to work on. Instead, we decided to shoot ourselves singing acapella. All the preparations took place in our office, from the recording to the shooting. Between the high pitch notes, the killer dance moves, and the constant laughter, we managed to have fun and enjoy every second of the making of this video.

   

The Outcome

Receiving more than 8000 views and over 90 shares, our Christmas video surely drew a wide smile on everyone’s faces, and spread the holiday cheers. It was a team effort that made this season extra special. Stay tuned, you never know what we might be preparing for next year!
