Banque du Liban – IC331 Video

We headed to the Central Bank of Lebanon headquarters looking forward to know more about the elusive Intermediate Circular 331.

The Brief

Our mission was to explain the new circular by Banque du Liban (BDL) in a 1 minute video to be showcased at the Arabnet Beirut 2014 conference.

To those unfamiliar with the circular, it was created by the BDL to encourage banks to invest in innovative startups.

The Process

After gathering information about the circular, we came up with a structure for the video that would allow users to:

1- Get introduced to the circular.

2- Understand how it works, in a nutshell.

3- Be able to find additional information if interested.

Financial concepts tend to be complex to understand by the average person who is not already familiar with the topic. We made sure to use simple language, short sentences and simple visuals to explain the topic.

An additional challenge for this video was the timeline: we had a quarter of the time we usually require to finish a video.

The Outcome

After very intensive work sessions, the video was ready to be shared with the public. It was shown on the main conference screen at Arabnet Beirut 2014, and received very positive feedback from the audience.
