We should never be ashamed of our love for animated movies. They make us cry, laugh, and remind us of why we should always remain kids on the inside. But, did you ever notice some of the subliminal tricks these 2D animation movies contain? Check out these interesting facts that will definitely blow your mind.

Keeping up with our blog, you know how much we love the world of Disney and that’s why we’re starting off with the first fact: “Hidden Mickeys” started as a joke between Walt Disney and other imagineers and became a tradition secretly carried out for decades. Timeless art

To start, Destino was originally a collaboration between Walt Disney and surrealist painter, Salvador Dali, but wasn’t released till 2003! In fact, Dali first met Walt Disney back in 1945 while he was in town working on a dream sequence for Alfred Hitchcock’s Spellbound. A mutual appreciation for each other’s art was very obvious, and it didn’t take long until they agreed to collaborate. How cool is that?

2D animation inception

The Simpsons characters, Itchy & Scratchy, the featured cartoon show in the series, are spoofs of Tom and Jerry: a “cartoon within a cartoon.”

Dancing princesses

The production on Beauty and the Beast ran out of time and money. The animators had to re-use the dancing scenes from Sleeping Beauty and adapt them.
