Online video will account for 74% of all web traffic and by 2019 for 80% of all global internet traffic, and so we thought it would be a good idea to close 2016 with some trends and predictions for video marketing in 2017. With the launch of Instagram stories similar to Snapchat stories, users are sharing more and videos with their friends and followers. In fact, 10 billion videos are watched on Snapchat everyday, and Instagram is becoming more and more focused on video all the time. This shows no stopping when it comes to app developers creating more video-oriented apps, and even introducing new video features to existing apps.

Facebook invested a lot on videos in the past year, especially with its famous feature: Facebook Live. Daily views have drastically increased from 1 billion to 8 billion views, which leaves us predicting more videos uploads and shares, making it another unstoppable trend for video marketing in 2017. And based on the previous point, brands are jumping into the opportunity of interacting with their customers and followers, all to strengthen their relationship and get instant feedback on their service, regardless of whether the comments are negative or positive, especially since 44% of people prefer to watch videos to get information about a business.

Businesses are opting for explainer videos as an effective and creative communication tool with their team, especially their sale force. Videos will grab enough time to retain the necessary information
