Procurics: the story behind the video

We were approached by Procurics to create their explainer video for the launch of the service. They had already worked with other companies to create the video, yet the result was not satisfying. We were confident that we would be able to come up with a beautiful video for the website, and started working on the project.

The Brief

Our mission was to create a short video that would explain what Procurics is and why viewers should sign up and try the service.

The Process

The approach for this video was a classical storytelling approach. Two main characters were created to represent the two main potential users of Procurics: Bob and Kate.

We experimented with different visual styles for their illustrative representation. Here are different tests for Bob:

The main challenge was being able to show all the problems encountered by potential users through an actual story. Details were added, in collaboration with our client, to give the characters a more “real” aspect.

The Outcome

The outcome was a video that’s around two minutes long. The reason for the video being a little longer than usual is because it covered two different uses of the website in one video. Instead of opting for two separate videos, the decision was made by the client to go for one all-encompassing video.
