Girls got IT, and so do we!
As much as we love celebrating women’s day every day, March has a special flair to it! And wezank is happy to announce that we’re partnering with GirlsgotIT in their upcoming event on Saturday, March 12th!
Girls got IT
To give you a quick overview, Lebanese League for Women in Business, Arab Women in Computing Lebanon Chapter, IEEE Women in Engineering Affinity Group – Lebanon Section, Women in IT , and Digital opportunity Trust are organizing together the “Girls Got IT” event, bringing around 400 students girls in 10th 11th grades to the one-day workshop that includes around 20 sessions in the field of technology.

The purpose of the event is to encourage girls to select IT and STEAM subjects (Science Technology Engineering Art and Mathematic) as career choices and guide them through. The event also wants to promote essential technology skills, break the cultural stereotypes of women in Lebanon and through success stories. Our Maya Zankoul will represent wezank as a proud partner in the event and will introduce the girls to the world of media and video production.
We are looking forward to motivating these young girls to courageously pursue their passion and explore their options. And we can assure you that the best is yet to come!
